I have a 50-year-old sister-in-law with Down's syndrome. After going through menopause, she has developed psychiatric problems, including apparent paranoia and dementia. We live in Turkey at present, and none of the local doctors have ever seen a post-menopausal Down's syndrome female. Normal adult treatments lead to side effects: hypertropism, etc. Herbal treatments such as St. John's wort have minimal effect, if any. Can anyone offer suggestions? Thank you.
