I have to agree with Kevin on this one. I feel that it is a violation of the child...that it just shows that the parent is more concerned about how it will reflect on them to have been born with a "defective" child. My daughter is 17 months old, and is one of the most beautiful children (of course, it is a mom's opinion)! I would never dream of altering such a gift. Our children should be taught self-esteem, and also be taught that some people are cruel, and will tease. Let's face it...kids are mean. If the parents have their child's face reconstructed, the other kids will find another reason to be horrible to the child...
