: Hi there,
: My sister-in-law is getting very frustrated with her daughter's low birth weight. She weighed about 6 lbs. at birth, now, 6 months later, she is only 12 lbs. She started to breast feed her at birth but because she had no desire to eat, they changed to soy formula. The baby takes about 1/2 to 1 ounce of formula infrequently during the day. They took her to the hospital and they did a EGD (?) and found nothing. The next day she got the rotovirus from the hospital and had diarrhea for 5 days & lost 3 pounds. They had to take her back in for dehydration. This poor family is at their wits end. Can you please tell me about the nutrition therapy for poor eating DS children? Where do we get it, and who will help us with this. The hospital didn't give any help or suggestions. Please e-mail me with the information.
: Thank you, [email protected]

Kittyk, you can try a natural producy called IGF-ONE it contains the same nutrients as mothers milk. I thought they stopped giving the rotovirus vaccine because of the side effects you are talking about. You may want to try a homeopath for other natural remedies.
