: My daughter is 11 years old and has the full figure of Down syndrome. The regular girls' school uniforms are not becoming on her since they have a waistline. I made her uniforms for several years but I no longer have the time as my home-based business has become quite successful and is limiting my sewing time. Also, I would like a source for attractive clothing for her when she's not in school. Comfort is a large consideration but I want her to look as cute as her personality. I live in Houston, Texas, but was looking for some catalogue sources, as well. I also have trouble finding shoes for her because her feet are wide and thick. Her dad lovingly calls them "Flintstone feet." Any help would be greatly appreciated.
i dont have information about uniforms but just wanted to drop you a note bobby has very wide feet too we never can find shoes to fit,he is always saying his feet hurt and know has bunions we took him to the doctor today and said downs kids bones and soft tissue makes feet bones go off to the side making them split with very wide feet. they are going to do surgery putting pins in to bring bones and tissues back together normal so he can where any shoes. the x-rays showed it up very well.
