Dear Lisa, my baby was born with DS also. Her name is Jillian. She is now 17 months old. I remember when I the day she was born and the news about DS. I was still on cloud nine and very happy. DS did not make a bit of difference in the joy I was experiencing. She has had a very colds and sinus problems but other than that I have not had any problems in taking care of her. Jillian is the most precious and happy baby. I love to watch her make faces and babble. I think you will see and find many wonderful things about your baby that overcome any diverse feelings you are having. Just LOOK for them. They're there.
