I am not sure where you live, but here in South Carolina you can apply for Medicaid for ANY child
with a disability under the TEFRA-Katie Beckett
program. I am assuming that this is something available throughout the states since Medicaid is
a federal program. Go to your local Department of
Social Services in your home county and tell them you wish to apply for Medicaid under the TEFRA program. This program is great for families whose income exceeds what is normally allowed, but
includes children with disabilities. It has been
a God-send for our daughter who has Down Syndrome
and made such a difference financially. Good Luck! I hope this information helps. God bless you and yours!
