:Hi, my name is Rachele Hedrick. I have a 17 month old sister named Rheonna Clark. She was in the hospital for the first month of her life. She has heart problems. They had to fix an outer hole in her heart right after easter last year at Arnald Palmer but she has to have more surgery for the valves in her heart when she is three. They are split. She was just fitted for glasses yesterday. She can't see things far away. She gets pnamonia easy. she has had it twice so far. She has to have surgery on her eyes by the time she is three also. She has to have therapist come over at least three to four times a week. She is behind on some things. She can't crawl or walk yet. They say she won't walk untill she is two. She is a really happy baby. If you would like to talk more or get a picture of her let me know and could we have a picture of yours? We have been looking for another family to talk to about downs syndrome and kids. I am the oldest of nine and we all love our little sister very much. You can email me back anytime or write me at:

I'm the new proud father of son with living with Down's Syndrome. Can any tell me what are some of the problems they have faced in the first year of their child live. So far, we only had to deal with an ear effection and he's 7 months. He's alert, trying to crawl, talking and seems to be in good health. I know it comes with time but would really like to hear back from others. Thanks in advance.
