: : my daughter is 21 months old and has ds.she has not gained any weight in the last few months at all!I feed her and feed her but she only gets taller and her weight never changes.the doctors aren't worried but I can't help it.she weighs 22 lbs.has anyone else experienced this?

: My daughter is 4 and weighs 15 kg (33 pounds). She has a good covering, but is slim.

: If the doctors aren't worried, I wouldn't be too concerned as too much weight is not good. It may be her individual metabolism or what you feed her - what is her typical diet? Also she may be very active.

: My little girl was very underweight til she was about a year old but that was because she had major heart problems, then surgery, feeding problems etc.

IF I COULD GIVE ANY ADVICE IT WOULD BE TO ASK YOUR DOCTOR TO DO A THYROID CHECK. DS KIDS DO IN ALOT OF CASES HAVE EITHER AN
'OVER OR UNDERACTIVE' THYRIOD. THIS IS ONE OF THE STANDARD CHECK UPS THEY DO ON DS KIDS HERE IN EUROPE. MY SON HAD THIS TEST DONE WHEN HE WAS 1 YR.
WISHING YOU THE BEST
