Dear Lee, Congratulations on your baby to be. My daughter Allison was born with Down syndrome 7 years ago. At the time I refused any pre-natal testing and I am glad that I did. If I had the pre-natal testing I would have worried needlessly throughout my pregnancy about having a child with Down syndrome. I won't lie and say that everyday is easy. There are days in the begining that you will cry one minute and then celebrate the smallest accomplishment the next. My daughter with Down syndrome is the youngest of four. I must say that the best Mother's day presents that I have recieved have been from Allie. To the parent of a normal child they would seen like nothing, but to the parent of a special child they mean the world. From sipping from a straw for the first time, to getting herself ready for bed by herself, these are the best gifts that I have recieved from Allie. If there are any questions that I can answer or anything that I can do just let me know, Maureen
