My daughter started her period when she was 11, she will be 13 in March. She has done wonderful. She does not know the details of sex yet-I'm not sure how to explain that! Kendra also got very upset at the sight of blood so I was concerned. I told her that when you get older (she doesnt want to be a little kid) you get your period and that its just part of growing up. She see's the Mare that boards on our property come in heat and discarge blood and it all seems normal, not a big deal. She takes care of changing her pads and wrapping the used one's and disposing of them properly. I'm very proud of her.
