: My nephew's wife just gave birth to an infant girl with Down Syndrome. How can I learn more about it, and how serious is it.

FIRST AND FOREMOST,

That little one is a BABY that just happens to have Down Syndrome, your nephew and his wife are about to embark on a journey that will be like a roller coaster ride, MOST parents of children with Ds will tell you that it was very hard for the first few years and then it was such a WONDERFUL, SPECIAL experience in which they are so thankful to have been given the honor of being parents to such a special little one.

I will provide some links for info and you can email me if you want to talk!!!

Give that baby girl TONS of hugs and kisses!!!
