: my little sister was born thursday with dwn syndrome........it was totally depressing because it is not what we were expecting. i am a young teenage girl and i dont know how to del with this kind of stress. if you have any suggestions on what i should do to feel better i will take any advice. i love this baby i am just surprised. thanx

Moira,

It is okay to have those feelings, brace yourself sweetie, you will probably have many of them throughout your life!!! Just Remember ... You are very lucky to have this little angel for a sister, she will teach you MANY life lesson, MANY lessons in true love that comes from the heart. You just need to remember that she is very special, do not treat her differently treat her as you would any other child. You will in no time at all ADORE this baby, and I promise she will wrap you around her little finger and you will be such a better person for just having had her in your life! If you would like to talk, email me at
MELANIEBBB@aol.com, I have a teenage daughter that you could probably gain some insight from!!!

Hugs,
Melanie
