My friend, Ginnie, knew her grandchild's birth defect would be a serious lifelong problem but the family believes there is a reason for everything. They have seen "Pam" make remarkable progress through the years. Jesus said:
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6)
"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory." (2 Corinthians 4:17)
They have also taught Pam the following verses:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved--you and your household." (Acts 16:31)
