In Reply to: Recent case of pneumonia reveals abnormal lung x-ray posted by Gabe on July 21, 2000 at 23:18:00:

: Our son had pneumonia this past April. The X-rays taken a month after reveal what the doctors call lacing of the lung tissue. We thought it would go away but 3 months later new X-rays still shows that lacying of the lung tissue. The attempt was to get an X-ray of our child when he is well but it seems that he still has this condition. He physically functions fine and no sign of labored breathing. Looking for advice from parents who may have experienced the same.

We are going through the same thing with Joey, 33, we just got him this Feb, after being in the hospital with pneumonia. Again this Sept. his x-rays are abnormal. They think scared tissue. We were sent to a lung specialist today. He will be going through a series of test. First speech, etc. I to would be interested, pneumonia is very common in ds. He seems to have a hard time spiting out phlem. Has the dr. suggested anything?
