Lori, hello I have a little girl with the very same thing.. Libby will be 6 months on nov 4 She has had a ng tube since birth to, but i have been giving her cereal and veegies to...I have decide to do a g tube , because Libby will not eat enough foodto keep her alive... I have tried EVERY nipple on the market.. have you done a suck swallow study yet? I highly suggest you get one..there may be a underlying problem that is easily resolved or you can be sure she has a good swallow and push for soilds then just follow up with the fluids.. that is what my ot, pt , st have been doing. Libby still gags alot during eating but improves everyday.. I hope some of this helps. if you want to talk to me email me I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH!! Lisa

My 6 month old daughter has been on a feeding tube since she was released from the hospital at 8 wks old. She has trouble with "toungue thrust" and coordination. A weekly therapist watches me try giving her a bottle(she may drink 1/2 ounce per feeding). I also have been giving her cereal mixed with fruit/veggies. She may eat 1 T. in fifteen minutes. I've tried different nipples. Any suggestions please!!!
