No that's not a ridiculous question at all...first let me ask, how old are you? because many young/teen girls have irregular periods or spotting in between periods.

also I know that anorexia can cause your menstrual cycle to stop completely, and bulimia might do the same...so your irregular bleeding may have something to do with disordred eating and purging. you might want to check with a doctor on it.

but most likely it's nothing to worry about, esp. if you're young. see if it continues and go from there. i'm worried because bulimia can cause a lot of different health problems for you besides just this one! not that i'm one to talk because i struggle with disordered eating myself.

but still please see if you can talk to someone in your life whom you trust about this because you deserve to get better.
