: : As someone w/ an eating disorder, and who's studied eating disorders obssessively for 4 yrs, I suggest you SEE A DOCTOR. NO ONE CAN DIAGNOSE A PERSON OVER THE INTERNET. However, it sounds like what you are feeling is definately not healthy. If you really want to know what you "have," you can check the DSM-IV, which is a psych. book that gives diagnosis of mental disorders. If the criteria fits, then a doc will diag. w/ it.
: : There are 4 catagories: Anorexia, Bulimia, ED NOS(Not Otherwise Specified), COE (Compulsive Overeating Disorder). You can read about these in the DSM-IV (your local public library has this book), and going to a doc could really help you out. I have an inkling of what they'd diagnose you as, but I'm not even going to say it because diagnosing over the internet is...well...it's just not smart. Please get help.
: Dear Anon,
: Thank you for responding. Guess I was just hoping for a suggestion of what (might) be wrong w/ me (if anything). I am just looking for somewhere to start b/c I just can't go to a dr. and tell someone face to face that there is probably something the matter w/ me. I have been thin all of my life and guess I just need to get used to this new body that was part of the package deal of getting a beautiful, wonderful seemingly perfect child. Thanks again for responding.

You're more than welcome :) I thought it about what else you could do today, because I have been in the same situation. There are a couple options. 1) Check out something-fishy.com; this site is THE elite site in terms of ed's 2) If a medical doc scares you, try a hospital support group, or therapist or counsler (there's a difference). These options do not involve any medical procedures and focus more on the mentality of the mind. Good luck and take care :)
