I was anorexic in my late teens and then got over it, mostly anyway. That was at age 18, 19. I am now 25. Yes and I have had phases when it seemed to be coming back, when i lost maybe a couple pounds and felt that thrill of excitement again.. and then suddenly telling myslef, like you , oh no, this isn't happening... it never got out of hand again.
Yes I can relate to the feelings of emptiness, it is so common in anorexia, to feel the anorexia is "everything" and without it there will be "nothing". You need to find something to hold on to! Something that gives you a feeling of identity, purpose...
