: I have been struggle with my weight ever since I was in high school. I'm 25 years old, 5'3 and 140 lbs. I don't eat breakfast, or afternoon snacks. I only eat a full meal during lunch and little during supper. Although I drink softdrinks, but I don't eat much!- To think that my job requires me to WALK all the time! I have enrolled my self several times over the past 4 years in gyms and other weight lose programs but nothing seems to work. Finally two months ago I tried the cabbage soup diet for a month and guess what...I lost only 3 pounds. Is it because of my goiter that it's difficult for me loose weight? Last week I started taking xenical. If this won't work...I might as well stop eating and drink water the whole day!
: Someone please help me!
Have you tried the Dr. Atkins Protein Diet? You may be one of these people that the Carbs are turning to sugar and producing all this insulin and storing it up as fat and therefore not burning any fat. See a Dr. and check that Thyroid. If that checks out OK try cutting back on carbs: Breads, potatoes, pastas, SWEETS, any sugar. You can eat CHEESE, meats, butter, eggs, most veggies and some fruit. If you lose weight rapidly on this diet then you have the carb problem. I lost 7 pounds the first week and did not feel like I was dieting. Your body will stop craving the carbs and sugar after the first couple of days. But Check with your Dr. First!! I assume it was a Dr. that put you on Xenical. Be careful of the drugs. I was on the Fen-Fen and lost 35 pounds. When i got off of them my eating went out of control like it never had before and i gained back 45 and my eating has not been the same since. It has been 3 1/2 years now I rue the day I ever took the first pill!! Good Luck!!!
