alison:i think you would find that seeing a psychiatrist would help you greatly. There are medications that can control your obessive-compulsiveness. Medication, along with therapy, will make a huge differnce in your life. Like Harry said in the follow-up, it really sounds like you have obsessive-compulsive disorder, which is treatable.
