: : This will probably sound like a stupid question, but I have been reading about how its important to have your Liver checked if you have been taking Dilantin for a long time. Is that done by a blood test?

: Your liver can be tested through a blood test. They will watch for your sgot and your sgpt to make sure it is not to high. If it stays high you can always have other tests. I had a liver biopsy and that is a piece of cake. They can also do a cat scan or an mri if they think there is possible trouble. I have been on this med for 35 years and have not had any problems.

Thankyou Barb, it was very helpful:)
