I have some what the same issue. I am 27 years old and found out I have siezures at the age of 21. I have had a EEG and head xrays and nothing is seen. I do have them more often when I get very little sleep and play video games for a long period of time especially the first person games. My doctors say that they could give traditional medication but I would be out of it alot of the time.My other option is to take nothing and just deal with having a handfull a year. It seems drastic but it is better than being on a drug that inhibits your driving and other activities.
Don't have him stop playing video games totally just let him play in moderation such as 1 to 2 hours then take it easy then go back later and play. Trust me I know and am talking from my personal experience. Email me if you like to talk.
