Epilepsy is not a common thing among the genral public. I am 52 yrs old and in my life time Ive only started to hear of people who have seizures since my 13 yr old son started getting them 7 yrs ago.Watching someone have a grand mal is a very frightening experience. Most of us in the US have heard of seizures but the myths about it abound. There really isn't the publicity that reaches the general public as there is with Aids and Cancer etc.
