: : : Has anyone ever seem a connection between a seizure a thunderstorm? I just had a partial seisure last night (usually I have them during sleep, totally conscience, temporal lobe) and it came right before this huge thunderstorm (60 mile an hour winds). Then during the thunderstorm my sinuses and temporal lobe part of my head hurt like never before!
: : Hi Lynn
: : Yes!! - my son definately gets seisure activity going on a day or so before a big change in the
: : weather like a thunder storm. I'm so happy that you have brought this up because I have
: : mentioned this to his paediatrician who said he had never heard of this. He will also feel
: : "off" for a day or so after the change. He get partial seisure like activity. I'd love to know why?

: :: I've seen a connection too. One day while the weather was awful, I had to take my seizuring daugther to a hospital in Toronto. I called my local Epilespy Society chapter and found that two women who work there, both their children were seizuring that day too, and no one could leave the city to go to the hospital with us. As well, my daughter's teacher is convinced there's a connection, as three kids in my daughter's class will seizure when the air pressure changes drastically or during thunderstorms.
I don't know if there is a connection with cps and thunderstorms, but what I would really like to know is how you know you are having the seizures in your sleep? Georganne
