My doctor will be taking me off my med slowly. This type of Epilepsy is what they call jerk seizures that will build up to a grand mal seizure. I was born with it but did not effect me until I was a teen. This type is also genetic but not hereditary. It is real different. Hope I helped. Thanks for being concerned.
