: I have been taking dilatin now for 6 years. My latest MRI was great but the EEG showed I was having petite
: mal seisures in my sleep. My neurologist wants to gradually move me over to dilatin. I am scared to death
: because I have been seizure free now on dilatin for 5 years. I started last week taking 2 tegretol in the morning
: and 2 at night. I work midnights and the first night taking the medicine, I had to come home early because I was
: so disoriented to the point I felt drunk and had a pounding headache. My doctor believes that Tegretol will control
: both types of my seizures. Does anyone out there have some encouraging words about Tegretol?
I HAVE BEEN TAKING TEGRETOL FOR ABOUT 10 YRS NOW
AND HAVE BEEN SEIZURE FREE FOR ABOUT 9. CURRENTLY
TAKE 800MG (400 IN AM, 400 AT BEDTIME). AFTER I
FOUND MY DOSE LEVEL I HAVEN'T HAD ONE SINCE. TO
DO THIS, MY DR. KEPT INCREASENG MY DOSE UNTIL I
REACHED A TOXIC LEVEL THEN DECREASED IT BY 50MG.
MY DR. NOW IS REDUCING MY DOSE BY 200 mgs AT A
TIME DUE TO FATIGUE WHICH I'V HAD FOR QUITE
WHILE. MY OPINION IS IT'S GREAT STUFF!!! GOOD
LUCK TO YOU!!
