I am 35 and started having seizures when I was 5 years old just out of the blue had grand mall seizures. I was diagnosed with Epilepsy and was on Dilantin till I was 20 years old I weaned myself off and have been seizure free for 15 years. I would go into a siezure for all different reasons, Heat was a big factor for one.
Also If I hurt myself or got scared, or had to go to the doctor I would be so sared and tense I would get myself so worked up I would go into a seizure. I learned to be calm and tell myself everything was ok. Seizures are caused by a lack of oxygen to the brain they also said I had a tissue dissorder in the left side of my brain I am ok now at 35 and did things other kids did.
I was checked all my life and still remember those EEG's. I think I grew out of it and still don't know why they started I was the only one out of 6 siblings to have Epilepsy. So good luck
