: Hi. I have no idea whether or not I should be posting here, but I'm not sure where to
: look for answers. Approx. 7 times in the past 10 months, ONLY when lying down, I had the sensations of
: "an explosion" in my head. I no it sounds insane, but I cannot think of any other way to describe it. It is
: brief, about 2 seconds, and that's it. No pain. Sometimes when I open my eyes, it looks a bit like white
: blotches, but I think that's normal when you open your eyes in a pitch dark room anyhow. Could this
: possibly be a seizure, or ???? Can anyone suggest anything that it might be?

: Another thing that has happened, but only twice before, and only while lying down, I felt
: like I had been given an electric shock on the end of my tongue. I know ---- it sounds weird. Trust me,
: it felt weird. Very brief. Maybe 1 second. But was so strange.

: Any ideas, anyone? I do have an appointment with a neurologist in 6 weeks, but
: naturally, am trying to figure out what it could be.

: Any advice???

: Thanks. Carol

I had the experience of feeling the electric shock on my tongue for several years, I was diagnosed with Complex Partial Seizures recently, but my neurologist wouldn't address the tongue stuff. What did your neurologist say? Hope things came out alright.
