My 14 year old son had a seizure on Aug. 1st playing a video game. So far he has not had any more? His Neurologist Diagnosed him with Occipital Epilepsy because of his EEG. It showed lots of abnormalities in the back portion of the brain with sudden burts several times in other parts of the brain. It also generalized. The Neuro has given us the option of putting him on meds or not. He said he has a 50/50 chance of having more seizures. His dad wants to wait on the Meds but I am undecided, scared I guess. Dr. says we can change our minds anytime. Should we wait or Not? Any suggestions?
