Jessica, My daughter has the same episodes! Her siezures began with breath holding spells,
and would occur every 3-5 weeks (sometimes more often). She has had about 5 siezures, then
about 3 weeks ago she had a siezure without the breath holding. The seizures are much more
physical than what Shari described with her son, and more similar to grand mahl siezures (her
whole body stiffens up and she shakes for about 2 min.). You are the first person that we have
heard from that has had to deal with this type of siezure. Have you learned any more about possible
causes, or controls?
