: I have something similiar. I have a type of seizure where I'm "out of it" for just a split second. If I'm standing, sometimes I fall down, but recover by the time I hit the floor. It's as quick as a sneeze, though sometimes afterwards I get the feeling that you get right after a grand mal seizure, when your brain can't make sense of anything. I believe my Neuro called these either Atonic or drop seizures. I started taking Depakote for them, and they seem to be aggravated by hormonal changes during ovulation/ menstruation. My Neuro added Lamictal daily, and I take a little extra when I know I'll be needing it. Hope this helps
Hooray. Someone finally may have solved the mystery for my 15 yr. old son. He says his legs get to where he can't move them. then he is very tired. He has been on all of the standard medicines but when he developed ITP the Dr. took him off of them and put him on Felbamate. This med. is not stoppig the leg problem and I'm not totally convinced it is a safe med. But what you describe sounds very much like what my son goes through.
