You could start by asking your neurologist about raising the Lamictal dose. 300mg. is a low dose, 500mg. is usually the target dose and larger doses are sometimes prescribed. The two drugs interact with Tegretol lowering the Lamictal levels by approximately 40% while Tegretol stays about the same. A simple bump in Lamictal may do the trick. I assume she's avoiding alcohol and getting plenty of sleep which is important. Some epileptics respond very well to a reduced liquid intake so that is something to keep in mind. Dick
