: : I know there must be a correlation between seizure activity and sleep (or lack of it), but it doesn't seem to follow any set pattern. Sometimes if I wake up early in the morning (last time happened at 6:00), and I practically jump out of bed running (like when you're running late), this will prompt a grand mal seizure. Other times, if I get out of bed in an unhurried manner, everything's ok. This hasn't been the first time this is happened. Anybody experienced anything similiar?
: Hi there!! My boyfriend is in the same situation you are. It is always when he wakes up in a hurry. Does it also happen to you after naps by any chance?? How are your tests?? He does not have any abnormal activity. I am starting to wonder if maybe it is his heart causing the seizures. They have never checked that. Let me know what you think! E-mail me if you want to chat!
I don't recall it happening after naps, just very early in the am. My EEG tests do reveal seizure activity. I did have a seizure once when I woke up early,(but leisurely, was on the go all day/night, and at night I had a seizure. I think it was a combination of lack of sleep, exhaustion, and poor eating habits during the day. I hope this might help you out!
