: Dear Carla, I started having seizures at age 12,thats about 31 years ago. I am 43, and I think I have had most every test available, except one.My Neuro-Dr. is going to place me in a clinic that wires up the patients and monitors them for irregular brain wave activity,My Doctor told me that most insurance companies will cover atleast three days unless there has been no irregular activity. The Doctor told me if no irregular activity occurs with in the 3 day period that most insurance companies will cover two additional days.I have been seziure free for a number of years but lately I have had 3 short ones where I black out.I dont know the medical term for this monitoring. I hope this help you.
: : My daughter has been having seizures, her eeg came up normal, is there any other test that can be done to detect this sometimes she goes into staring spells or she'll clutch her fists and shake, all help would be greatly appreciated
: :I am interested in more information regarding Ricky's source and type of seizure. It sounds as though you have pursued this for several years. What are these tests concluding? My mother recently experienced bleeding on the brain caused by several ruptured vessels. In her case, the location of one of these rupturing episodes caused a seizure. She does not have Epilepsy, but has been perscribed Dilatin to help prevent further seizures. She's 51 and in good health.
