: I am in my twenties, and have petite mals--I'm on tetretol and lamactil--but it still doesn't always help. Would the ketogenic diet be of any help as I've been reading about that. How does it work and who should be on it.
Sue,
My son has had petit mals since age 7 and he is 18 now. The only medication that has helped them is lamictal. It has to be at a high dosage though. He takes 800 mg a day. They told us that tegretol was not good for petit mal. Have you tried lamictal alone? Our son also has grand mals and the lamictal covers them too. Good luck.
