Shelly, I can tell you that I have been there. I have Complex Partial Seizures. They first tried to push it off on me as a psych disorder but I had no problems in my life...things were going fine. My seizures occur on the right side of my body and I am not alert to what is happening. All of my tests have been normal, but many have seen me have seizures to include my doctors. Yet they can not set me off when they do the EEG. I know that it is hard to deal with as I have been dealing with it for over 3 years now. If you were seeing improvements with your medication...I would say that you have a seizure disorder. This is similar to what happened to me. They were reluctant to give me any medication and when they started, my seizures decreased. I still have break through seizures and my doctor has asked me if I wanted brain surgery to correct it. He is a doctor at Duke University Medical Center...I am sure that if he thanks I have a seizure disorder, I do. Try and find another opinion. Write me at hutchmedic@juno.com or deafmedic@aol.com
