I can’t answer your questions about hypersensitive gag reflex but I have lot of questions regarding Lamictal.
Currently I am on 600 mgs of Lamictal per day (together with 2000 mgs of Tegretol per day) to control complex partial epilepsy and although I have now got over the toxic side effects I am still experiencing horrendous insomnia. I am beginning to wonder if these do stabilse Epilepsy as I am still having problems.
I am contemplating brain surgery.

In answer to your questions regarding brain surgery for complex partial epilepsy I can tell you that there is surgery available and that this is being done in the Austin Hospital in Victoria Australia (about 70 per year), Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital in Perth Western Australia and I believe that it is being done in Birmingham USA. There is also a message posted by Paul on the 11 August 1999 on the same web site that is detailed above.
