I have read numerous messages thet state that epiepsy was handed down to the child. The doctor is telling me epilepsy is not genetic and then I read information to the contrary. Could anyone help me on this matter. My wife has been having nocturnal seizures since 12. Depekote worked great for her. She was seizure free when taking it correctly. The doctor has now switched her to tegretol because he said its safer if we were thinking about kids. Could anyone give me any information on any of this? I am trying to learn all I can about this.
