There is a very real connection. I was first put on Neurontin for Fibromyalgia pain, and was advised to drink at least 2 quarts a day. The more water I drank, the worse I felt (and the more water I retained.) Then I "didn't take care of myself" and didn't drink enough water for a few days. . .and wondered why I felt so much better! Not too long after that, my doctor and I both realized that what I really have is TLE. . . I can see and feel the improvement if I stay a bit on the dehydrated side. Haven't uncovered the "scientific" reason. . .but also read about. this phenomenon on other meg. boards.
