I was told as soon as I was labled and we knew what was wrong with me. I've had since 18 months of age and knew when I was able to understand, probably around kindegarden age, So let your child know whats wrong with them and explain to them and talk to his/her teacher when they start school. so the ignorance wont cause more problems for your child as it did for me!
