: my daughter is on tegretal and lametal---but it doesn't seem to be helping--can anyone help to what may help her--she takes medicine four times a day--she has petite mals--

Take it from someone who is on tegretol and has been on lamental.....if your daughter's seizures are hard to control she could be in for a lot of med changes....I am on a med called topamax it is suppose to control petit mal seizures....I have petit mal seizures every day. I am 23 years old.
I have been on experimental meds....Just everything.....It seems your daughter might have my problem....have you heard of the vagus nerve implant it suppose to help patients who have hard to control seizures and have a case history a mile long. your daughter might be a good canidate for it. Ask your doctor about.
