: I HAVE CONTINUED READING YOUR POSTS WITH GREAT INTEREST. I AM DOING WELL I AM STILL FOLLOWING MY REGIME,HERE IS MY CHALLENGE, I HAVE LOST ALTOGETHER 30LB'S OVER 4 MONTHS WHICH IS GREAT I AM DELIGHTED , HERE'S THE THING I WOULD LIKE TO LOSE 6 MORE TO BE AT MY "SUPPOSED" IDEAL WEIGHT, I THINK I AM AT SOME KIND OF PLATEAU, THIS WEEK I AM WRITING DOWN ALL THAT I EAT, I AM DROPPING THE 2 GLASSES OF WINE DAILY TO HELP AND CAN YOU SUGGEST ANY OTHER WAYS OF MAXIMISING MY METABOLISM SO TO SEE RESULTS I AM STILL AT THE GYM ALTERNATING HIGH INTENSITY CARDIO DAYS WITH WEIGHT TRAINING I ALWAYS WORK OUT AT 6AM, DO YOU THINK I SHOULD TRAIN IN THE PM ALSO? I KNOW THIS IS NOT THE WORST PROBLEM TO HAVE BUT I KNOW YOU ARE AN EXPERT AT THIS AND ANYTHING YOU COULD SUGGEST WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. DO YOU THINK SWITCHING TO A HIGH PROTEIN DIET FOR A WHILE MIGHT BE THE ANSWER, I WILL WAIT FOR YOUR REPLY, THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT
Good to hear from you and I'm very happy for you. There is no feeling in the world like success in a workout program whether it's a person's desire to lose weight or gain weight. Congratulations! Now, to answer your question: I think a 30 pound loss in four months is significent. You said though, that you need to lose six more to reach your ideal weight. How did you arrive at that ideal weight? Remember that the most common ideal weight charts are not necessarily designed for the physically fit so give yourself some latitude there. If you're still set on needing to lose six more pounds, here's my advice: do nothing! Well, that's not really what I mean. Do nothing different than what you've been doing. The body is a wonderful, complex thing and you have made it respond and adjust to your desires. I don't know how long this plateau has lasted that you speak of but give your current program some time. If you are still stuck at this level after say 5 weeks, let me know. But I think what you're doing is great: a slow, but steady and permanent weight loss. Good for you!
P.S. Thanks for the compliments!
