Hi everyone. I just found this board and this is my very first post here. Anyway, I'm very much into working out with weights right now as a means of increasing my muscular development (chest, biceps, triceps, etc.), and I am very concerned about muscle breakdown while I sleep. I am concerned that my body may be breaking down some muscle for its energy requirements while I sleep for 7-8 hours at night. Does anyone know if there is any way to prevent this catabolism? My belief is that the body has to access the muscles for at least some energy during the time that you sleep since you're obviously not eating, and hence fasting, for the 7 or 8 hours that you're sleeping. Any thoughts?? Richard
