The only thing I can recommend is getting in the gym and doing calve exercises to strengthen
those things up. Get on a legpress, stand on a ledge and do "ankle ups" as we call them, where you have
the back of your foot (heel) hanging off the ledge and you go up and down on your tippytoes...trust me
you'll feel a burn after abotu 35-50 of them.

AND
MAKE SURE YOU STRETCH THOSE CALVES OUT BEFORE YOU GO ON THESE RUNS!! That is wear
3/4's of cramps come from, starting off with cold muscles.

: Hi i am 5' 2 and 120 lbs. I am in the military and need help with speed walking. I am the shortest person in the troop and when we go for forsed marches I can't keep up. I know its only walking but my legs are so short. Is there any exercise I can do to stretch the muscles in my calfs? The faster I have to walk, the more they hurt. I jhave practiced and practices but nothing seems to help. Can anyone help me please?
