first of all, nutrition is key. even though you eat a low carb diet, you still have to cut down on the fat. i'm trying to lose weight myself and have been unsuccessful until my diet changed. i try to work out daily. i do cardio for 45 min. and then abs for 20-30 min. i know, that sounds a lot but i take my time and concentrate on my form and breathing which makes any exercise more effective. i try not to count reps because then, i rush myself to finish. instead, time yourself. say, do abs for about 5-8 minutes with a variety of ab exercise (forward crunches, side crunches, bicycles). i also do random exercises to tone. i don't use heavy weights because i want to burn off the fat first then tone. i like weights because they're funner but that should come after the fat is lost. a little light weights is fine. if the weights are too heavy, you'll appear bulky and i don't think that's what you're trying to achieve.

drinking lots of water is good, continue doing that. drink a tall glass before bed and in the morning when you get up and all throughout the day.

that's all i can say for now, for that's what i'm doing. remember, cut down on fats, do cardio, light weights if desired, lots of water, and always remember to give your body at least a day of rest but no more than 2 days in a row. be consistent and in a matter of even a week of consistent exercise with good diet, you'll see the difference. i did. good luck again.
