Everyone is right and wrong I believe. If you are using a basic powder form such as in a pill or juice mix, then you should be taking it before and after you work out. You need to be putting it into your body two or three times a day. But make sure you do not use more than 10g total a day. Sources are not sure ye, but it possibly could hurt your kidneys in excess amoounts(Probably not though :). However, It is not something that you can take right before a workout and expect to pick you up immediately. So taking it right before will not help you out. I believe they say it takes about an hour for your body to process it where it reaches your muscles. Taking it right after a workout could be a good idea because, like any nutrient, your body will crave it after a workout and it will be absorbed quicker. Now if you are talking about a liquid form of creatine, forget all I told you. Also, by liquid form, I mean a serum and not the liquid obtained from making it from a powder. I use Xtra Advantage Creatine from Muscle Marketing USA. For something like this, you take it immediately before you work out and it takes like 10-15 minues or even quicker to get into your bloodstrean and therefore to your muscles. Some people dont believe it works but it seems to be working so far for me. I hope I have helped you out and not confused you.
