i have been working out on a treadmill also, and i find that a longer period of exercise at a slower pace is good for me. there is not that much difference between 3.8 and 3.5 anyway. i also think that you should work out 2-3 times a week with weights now, because muscle mass burns calories more efficiently and will speed your metabolism.. its a happy circle! good luck though, and know there are others out there struggling too!! good luck! .. sarah brook
