: : If you guys had laser eye surgery, can you guys give me your opinion on it??? Cause I want to get one too. I just need some opinions.

: I had lasik surgery one year ago. I had somewhat sore and sensitive eyes for about 12 hours, but
within 24 hours my vision was good enough to drive, and within 3 weeks I had 20/20 in both eyes. I have experienced
none of the negative outcomes we are warned about. I wore corrective lenses for 35 years, contact lenses for 25 years.
The lasik surgery cannot correct presbyopia (the need for reading glasses that develops in middle age). I needed
reading glasses before the surgery and I need them now, but my need is no worse than before. I actually have fewer
halos with night vision than I had before the surgery. If they could guarantee that every patient would have outcomes
as good as mine, I would say everyone should do it. But obviously, no one can make that guarantee. Only you can decide
whether the potential benefit outweighs the potential risks.
