I just found this message board today and was wondering if anyone else out there experiences Pseudo tumors of the orbits. I get one every year, and it happens in the right eye sometimes and the left other times. I have been having them since I was 18 and I am now 33. I usually get them anywhere from Oct.- March, usually once a year. I am always treated with prednisone and the eye surgeons through the years seem to know little about it and why it happens. But after a course of the steriods it goes away until the next year. Sometimes I have to do the steriods in two cycles because the first was not enough to make it go away. My question is, does anyone else suffer with this and have you gotten any different info, that I haven't. Its pretty frustrating to have this year after year and not know the cause. Not only that but I'm worried about taking the steriods every year and what the damage is that they might cause over the years. So if anyone suffers from this I would really like to hear from you to see if I can come up with a reason as to why this happens. Or at least know that I am not the only one this is happening to. My eye surgeon says its rare and they see very little of it. Thanks for any info. someone can give.
