It is really tragic that you had a bad outcome, and that your surgeon apparently did not communicate to you the possibility of complications.

I did alot of research myself, and picked my surgeon in large part based on his low rate of complications. Even after all the research I did, I had to sit thru several classes in his office where the bad possibilites were described again, and the consent forms I signed were the most comprehensive I've ever seen. As an RN, I've seen alot of consent forms.

However, there are those of us out here who've had great results, and wouldn't hesitate to do it over.
